ABOUT ME

I am an ambitious 27 year old with a keen eye for attention to detail and an interest in the IT industry. I aim to start a career in the IT industry once I graduate university from the Griffith University institute. Growing up my teachers/mentors have told me that I focus on the little things a lot and make sure they're as perfect as possible which has led me to enjoy creating things, both physically through trades work and online through coding. I've always enjoyed creating, whether through wood shop classes, photoshop and now coding. I enjoy to work with Java script where I can unleash my creativity. I aim to major in Software Development as this is where my passion lies. I love to create using coding languages like JavaScript and C++. Software Development has appealed to me due to having family ties in the industry and getting to experience first hands the different types of jobs which can fall under Software Development. These career goals have me studying at Griffith University so I can get the best quality of learning to help me achieve my dreams in the IT industry. I use my attention to detail skills to ensure that what I create is made to be as perfect as it can be and I pay great attention to minor details, for example in my Creative Coding class at Griffith University I ensured that a class project of creating a Yin-Yang moving image was perfectly parallel. I've worked with Target since July 2015 which has allowed me to gain confidence in team environments and I'm now in charge of teaching the new staff hires how to work efficiently and effectively while still getting to enjoy their time at work. I am the recipient of the Rondel Awards at target for multiple categories such as "Delivers Results", "Accountable", "Teamwork" and "Ethical", with these awards shown on my profile. When I'm not focusing on my studies or working I enjoy the active lifestyle such as basketball, theme parks etc.

EDUCATION

Griffith University 2020 - 2026

I have studied with Griffith since 2020 and am majoring in Software Development in my Bachelor of IT. I started studying with Griffith because of covid pushing every class to online only and their time schedule fit better with my full time work with Target.

TAFE 2017

Studying here allowed me to attain my certificate to study with Griffith University and provided me with the Rank of 83.

Coombabah State High School 2011-2015

Studying here as a high school student helped me learn that I like to create things through wood working and also allowed me a class to learn basic photoshop skills. This started as the first insight into my desired future career in IT.
